Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on the 7 7 of December 1973, to Mr. and Mrs. Tim Oyakhilome, as the first son of the family. After his secondary and primary schooling, he enrolled in Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria where he obtained an BSc in Architecture.
AAU also granted him an honourary Doctor of Science prize. He also holds an honorary Doctor of Science from Benson Idahosa University. Reverend Chris was once married with Anita Obhodaghe and they have two beautiful children.

While in AAU, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was in the AAU student program. He began his journey into the ministry while in AAU. The Believers' LoveWorld fellowship which is today Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (YFC) was at the time known as Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship.
YFC rapidly grew and eventually was the largest campus-based group. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy.
