Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on 7 th of December 1973 to Mr. and Mrs. Tim Oyakhilome, as the first child of the family. After his first and second education, he attended Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma (Edo State), Nigeria, where he received a BSc. in Architecture.


AAU also granted him an honourary Doctor of Science prize. He also has an honorary Doctor of Science from Benson Idahosa University. The Reverend Chris was earlier was married to Anita Obhodaghe. They have two children.

While still in AAU, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student. He began to explore ministry while still in AAU. At the time the Believers' LoveWorld Fellowship, now Believers LoveWorld Incorporated was known as Youths For Christ (YFC).

YFC has seen rapid growth and was the largest campus-based fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the home of the church. Believer's LoveWorld today has millions of followers and associates across the world.

Through the 2002 atmosphere for miracles, BLW rose to prominence as an Christian ministry on television in Africa. The programme was canceled in May 2004 by President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo who declared that the churches would no longer broadcast miracles on TV.

The InnerCity Mission for children is an evangelical, faith-based non-governmental Organisation (NGO).  Chris Oyakhilome The NGO was established in 2005, with the intention of reaching the most vulnerable, poor children, orphaned and vulnerable who are poor all over the world..

The foundation helps these destitute children and their communities by implementing sustainable and participatory interventions which include child development programs and childcare programs Family strengthening programmes, InnerCity Mission for Children School, etc.

Trauma Care International Foundation

The TraumaCare Foundation was founded to increase the lifespan and health of local communities.  Chris Oyakhilome The foundation aims to accomplish this goal through health education advocacy, community-based and other programs while positioning to provide assistance to national policies on trauma care.

More than a thousand sessions of training in emergency and safety were provided by the foundation. Their record shows that they have been able to train hundreds of teachers, students, law enforcers as well as caregivers and road transporters.
